When Duty Called, They Served…Now It’s Time To Serve Them.

Operation Stand Down Rhode Island is a non-profit organization that helps homeless Veterans. Organized in 1993, OSDRI has provided and continues to provide a place for hundreds of Veterans to find essential services empowering and equipping them to overcome personal, social, and economic problems. We strive to provide a safe and supportive permanent home for Veterans of the United States Armed Services.

Operation Stand Down Rhode Island currently manages 5 permanent supportive housing facilities for American Veterans. The housing program includes a full array of supportive services.

•Financial Counseling
•Case Management
•Mental Health Counseling
•Rental Assistance
•Transportation Assistance
•Utility Payment Assistance
•Referral Services to Other Agencies
Operation Stand Down Rhode Island strives to restore Veterans to higher levels of independence and self-sufficiency by providing “A Hand-up, Not a Hand-out” and reminding Veterans of a time where respect, competence, and honor were integral components of their daily lives.
